Supporting our work

The Sill: National Landscape Discovery Centre, is supported by the Northumberland National Park Foundation, a registered charity that aims to safeguard the future of the North East’s most unspoilt and iconic landscapes.

Northumberland National Park and its rich landscape, heritage and culture, is a unique and special place.

Every inch of it leaves you inspired to explore and discover the unique qualities which make it so special. It is a place of remote and rugged beauty; from the Roman frontier at Hadrian’s Wall to the rolling hills and valleys in The Cheviots, the Park is scarred from battle but alive with nature as far as the eye can see.

Northumberland National Park Foundation supports projects which promote, assist and encourage the protection, conservation and enhancement of the Park, and initiatives which connect people with nature through activities and learning experiences.

Northumberland National Park Foundation’s priorities in 2021 include The Sill: National Landscape Discovery Centre, and projects and initiatives which focus on the environment, climate change and access to green space for improved health and wellbeing.
