Reconnect with Your Resolution this January

January is the perfect opportunity to reconnect with your mental health and wellbeing, and really focus on yourself after a hectic festive period. With dark cold nights still among us, it can be tricky to shake off those January blues, so The Sill: National Landscape Discovery Centre has teamed up with Tyneside and Northumberland MIND and Northumberland Recovery College to help people ‘Reconnect with Your Resolution’.

Northumberland National Park Authority is inviting people to take part in mindfulness activities every Sunday in January 2022 at The Sill; these ‘Reconnect with Your Resolution’ days are in support of Tyneside and Northumberland MIND’s ‘Step into January’ campaign, which is a challenge encouraging people to take part in activity over 22 days in January to help improve overall mental and physical wellbeing.

‘Reconnect with Your Resolution’ will be held every Sunday at The Sill throughout January (9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th). From guided walks to Hadrian’s Wall and mindfulness sessions with Northumberland Recovery College, to photography and dreamcatcher workshops, ‘Reconnect with Your Resolution’ is an opportunity to take time to yourself, before the hustle and bustle of a new week comes around, to support your own wellbeing. The guided walks will be led by expert Walk To Wellbeing leaders, who have extensive knowledge of the area, giving individuals the confidence to enjoy a walk, and for some, giving them the confidence try something new.

Mandy Roberts, Engagement Officer at Northumberland National Park Authority, said:

“A visit to The Sill is a great way to connect with the great outdoors. Whether it’s simply taking our easy rooftop walk then sitting with hot drink from our Once Brewed café, looking out at the stunning scenery, or coming along to our ‘Reconnect with your Resolution’ days this January; ultimately we’re offering visitors of all ages and abilities a space to reconnect and reset.”
