Age group: All
We are working with farms across the National Park who have signed up to the Educational Access Programme with Natural England. This allows farms to open their doors to groups, to run activities and share information on the running of the farm. Topics vary depending on which site you visit, but typically include food production, crop management, care of animals, and environmental conservation.
Northumberland National Park can arrange these visits, and can provide the relevant information from the farms such as risk assessments, directions, and activity information. Each farm is different, and we can work with teachers and farmers to make the most appropriate arrangements. The visits themselves are free, with a small admin charge payable to the National Park.
Each visit must have a minimum of 6 children and last a minimum of two hours. For more information please contact the Learning Team via our enquiry form.
