Discover Arts Award
Arts Award is a national scheme administered by Trinity College London.
Using nature as inspiration, schools can sign up for Discover Arts Award, allowing children to get outdoors and get creative. This full day of creativity, held at The Sill, introduces the three stages of the award and includes activities based around poetry, sculpture, nature printing, and more. This marks the beginning of the journey towards the award, which will continue back at school. Each pupil will receive their own Arts Log Book, in which they will be able to record all the activities they take part in, both at The Sill and at school.
Following this session, teachers will be able to take away our Discover Arts Award pack, which includes ideas for how pupils can continue to be creative while back at school, primarily using nature as inspiration. Once Part A and B of the award have been completed, staff from The Sill will arrange to visit school for the pupil’s sharing event, which will complete Part C, the final section. Sill staff will then moderate each pupil’s Log Book in order for them to each receive the award.
Certificates can be provided by Trinity College London at an additional cost, or we can provide National Park certificates free of charge.
